Amanea Newsletter

After three years of operations, Linking Cultures is pleased to announce the launch of its maiden edition of the “Amanea” Newsletter. You may wonder why we have chosen to call it “Amanea”. Well, when any visitor calls on any family or individual in Ghana, the custom is for the host to offer his visitor some water, then to ask the mission of his guest. The host will usually say: “All is well here. You came this way, so what is your mission or ‘A●ma●nea’ in Akan/Twi”.

Linking Cultures, we are going JOOMLA!

You don’t need to be a web guru to tell that our website needs update. Yes, because website designing is expensive in Ghana, we have in the past been running our website on programs such as Site Studio. Unfortunately, such programmes are restrictive in their design and do not create professionally looking websites either.

Volunteer/Internship Opportunities to Increase

We give credit to all our volunteers, both pass and present for helping us meet our civic responsibilities to society. The truth is, a lot of the non-governmental organisations in Ghana cannot afford to recruit and pay for the requisite skilled manpower they need in order to operate effectively. Without the technical and financial support from our volunteers, a lot of these organisations may not run at all. For this, we are very grateful to all our volunteers.
