Amanea Newsletter
After three years of operations, Linking Cultures is pleased to announce the launch of its maiden edition of the “Amanea” Newsletter. You may wonder why we have chosen to call it “Amanea”. Well, when any visitor calls on any family or individual in Ghana, the custom is for the host to offer his visitor some water, then to ask the mission of his guest. The host will usually say: “All is well here. You came this way, so what is your mission or ‘A●ma●nea’ in Akan/Twi”.
The visitor will then narrate his story to his kind host. Following this initial visit, both guest and host will try to stay in touch so they know how each one is fairing. Consequently, Linking Cultures as an NGO born and weaned in Ghana, has adopted this custom and will like to treat all visitors to her website as important guests, worthy of genuine Ghanaian hospitality. So with effect from January 2012 and every other ‘quarter’ month after that, Linking Cultures will circulate its Amanea newsletter to interested online visitors, past and present volunteers, host organisations and partners by email.
The main objective of Amanea will be to keep all its cherished stakeholders informed about the activities, achievements and opportunities at Linking Cultures. In order for Amanea to be more informative and meet the needs of our readership, we will appreciate feedback. To do so, please send your comments to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Remember, this is just the beginning; Amanea can only get better. Amanea Newsletter: Keeping our Cherished Stakeholders informed.
