Programs

sankofa AdinkraPrograms organised by Linking Cultures are exceptional in that, they project African cultural and historical heritage to people of other worlds. Being the first Sub-Saharan country to gain independence, Ghana has a lot to showcase in terms of culture, arts and history. No wonder it is labelled the gateway to West Africa.

However, like any other African country, Ghana is suffering from the infiltrating trends of westernisation and as a result; most of its valued customs and traditions are disappearing. This is occurring at such an alarming rate that the Ghana we know today may not be the same come next ten years.

It is in light of this that Linking Cultures wishes to preserve and expose these valued Ghanaian customs and traditions through educational programmes. These programmes are built round sightseeing, community services, lectures and workshops. Below is a list of scheduled programmes running for 2011.
